Meridian High School in Falls Church, Virginia, has been awarded the Virginia Honor Band distinction by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA), recognizing the program's exceptional musical achievements during the 2024–2025 academic year.

The VBODA Honor Band Award is the highest accolade for high school music programs in the Commonwealth. To earn this title, a school must receive Superior ratings—the highest possible—at several events including superior assessments in District Concert Band Assessment, District Jazz Assessment, Solo and Ensemble as well as placement in district and state band. These accomplishments reflect excellence in performance, showcasing the versatility and dedication of the student musicians in the MHS band program.
